The Straight And Narrow

 I was driving to the store today. I noticed there were many different ways for me to go. Sorta like there are many ways to do one thing on the computer. Which is cool because different people like to take different ways. And I thought how very much like life that is.

In my neighborhood, some people like to take the big curve, there are no sharp turns and few stops. But it is the longer way. And a way I like to go. Other people like to take the shorter way. The way that zig zags and has lots of stops and sharp turns. Which I do take on occasion. 

It depends on the time and my mood. 

When I take the big curve, I have the time and extra gas. It reminds me of going inside the store and how you can make a big curve around the edge of the store because that is where the fresh stuff is. The breads and veggies and the meats and dairy. I read somewhere that healthy people do this. They say don't go down the center aisles because that's where the not so healthy stuff is. This makes some sense to me, but on the other hand what about tuna and pickles and coffee?

Well, I guess every statement has a rebuttal in this world.

But not with GOD. The ones who do the rebutting are non-believers. And what sort of person wants to argue about what is better than LOVE and JOY and PEACE and TRUTH? Why would anyone want to do that? Only if they are arrogant and narcissistic and see themselves as the greatest power, so much so that they will walk on or even murder other people in their way. Those are the only ones who would even attempt to argue with GOD. HAHAHA Arguing with GOD is the same as arguing with all the great men who have ever lived in the world. What a stooge! 

So, as I was driving, you're not going to believe what I wished for! I wished for a straight way! I wanted to go that way! A road that goes straight from my house to the store. But what is truth? There is the school and other people's houses. My wish doesn't leave much room for them. So, since GOD includes ALL of US, my wish is only a pipe dream. 

But remember in the spirit, GOD speaks of the 'straight and narrow'. 

We don't have the 'straight and narrow' in the world, we do have the 'straight and narrow' in our spirit. GOD gives us that so that we won't get all into the things distracting us. We stay focused on our spiritual path, and all will be well with us. We won't get all caught up in the things that could cause us to stumble and fall. 

GOD wants us to know that HE knows of the good things in the world. It's not all bad. We stay away from the bad and we cleave to the good. And never allow any good stuffs to be loved more than we love GOD. Remembering that GOD is LOVE and TRUTH and JOY and PEACE... 

Someone asked me about their make-up. You know it's OK to love your makeup and your clothes and jewels and shoes... but always LOVE GOD MORE!

GOD wants us to enjoy life and so we work to make life enjoyable. GOD doesn't want us to suffer and fail. So, HE gave us great men who have lived in the past and have written great things for us. Like me, I am hoping that one day someone will be reading my words and have an enlightened moment. I already have GOD to help me say the right things in life for people who need it. Every day I ask GOD to lead and guide me by HIS spirit! I don't worry about what will I say. I say what GOD tells me to say and it works well. But my hope is that after I am dead and gone people can still come here and read my thoughts that GOD gives me. For the edification of THE PEOPLE.

In life, it's great to be able to go the curve or the zig zags. GOD doesn't care which we choose. We have freedom to choose our way. Let's just remember to keep focused on GOD, for HE IS the LIGHT that shows us our way. And without GOD we are left to do for ourselves. Like what is going on now in our population. People are selfish and think only of themselves. GOD wants us to consider others!

Remember the words of Jesus! LOVE ONE ANOTHER, Do good to others... Help each other out. There's one more thing, but I am not going there today.  But it's there for later. Ask me...

We walk the path that Jesus tells us is the best. And that is LOVING the other people in your life! The world doesn't revolve around you, and neither should your thoughts and actions be only for you. People make the worst mistakes when they are being selfish. So don't be that! OK? Love y'all!
