Jonah & Amy

Two people who have passed, who lived several thousands of years apart, who both had a warning yet had 2 different outcomes due to their personal choice. It's one of those 'this and that' sort of things.

It there's one huge thing I have learned in all my years is that with our opinions there is always a different perspective by one who sees things differently. And if that someone is in a place of power, they can change things in the world according to their point of view.

We all do that. We all make decisions based on our own knowledge. 

The great thing is that GOD has given us all the info and knowledge that we need in order to have a great life! People who have lived before us, leave their bodies when they die and go to GOD, to join all the others, whose knowledge is all a conglomerate.

HA, have you ever thought of GOD as a conglomerate? Neither have I until GOD showed me the fact is true. I didn't even know and had to go look it up. Then when I did, it was like the perfect word!

But that's not the point of this blog.

So, I want to talk about Jonah. He was the one who was in the belly of a whale. But before he got stuck there, he was actually running away from GOD. GOD had told him to go to a certain place and he didn't want to go because the people were mean. I don't blame him for not wanting to go, but when GOD tells you to do something its best to just do it. But Jonah was only human and didn't want to bear the people. But you must know that that was the reason he needed to go because the people were mean and didn't know GOD or have GODS wisdom. And Jonah needed to go tell them how the cow ate the cabbage!

This caused the men he was traveling with to see him as some sort of bad luck. And they threw him off the boat. That how he met the whale, who swallowed him up! Now there he was in the belly of the whale, and it was really yucky! He cried out to GOD because he knew he was headed straight to hell. I mean if GOD had not supernaturally caused that whale to regurgitate, he would have been processed and pooped out as whale dung, and we all know it! BUT while he was in there and had time to assess his situation, he realized that he was wrong to try to run from what GOD wanted him to do, that was to go help those people have a better life by not being so angry and mean. No one likes to be around people who are angry and mean. I can tell you I would rather live with people who are loving and caring rather than live with people who are angry and mean all the time. 

So, once Jonah figured it all out in his head and cried out to GOD and GOD saw that he was sincere, that's when GOD caused the whale to regurgitate. And Jonah had another chance to do GODS bidding. Which he did! And he did a great job! And never got trapped like that again as he learned to just do what GOD says with a willing spirit and all would be well.

I think Jonahs's fear was what GOD had to show him was not necessary! We all learn this lesson one way or another. We either learn it by paying attention to Jonahs's story or we have to learn it the hard way. Like Jonah had to learn the hard way. 

I think about Jonah every time I want to put GOD off. I am lucky because usually if I put GOD off its just because I am busy helping the people around me and GOD knows this, so HE isn't going to lock me up in the belly of a whale till I figure it all out! HAHAHA

What motivates me in my life is the words of Jesus that says, "Whatsoever you do to the least of these, you do unto me." He was talking about all the poor people sitting there... and we know we need to love and help them. I know you can't help everyone but when you help 'one of the least' of all people in the world, GOD sees you doing what you should be doing!

And now I want to talk about Amy. Amy Winehouse. 

Amy was a beautiful little girl, and everyone LOVED her! However, when Amy grew up, she had found herself in a bad way. (Like Jonah in the belly of the whale). And the reason she was there was because she didn't listen when GOD tried to tell her she needed to work out her issues, which alcohol was her problem. Many people tried to get her to help herself and get professional help. But she refused. She didn't want to hear it. She enjoyed drinking. She even wrote a song about it. I still hear that song today as it is on Dee's playlist. And the sadness I feel for her is overwhelming. I know for sure she didn't know she was serving up a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The sad part was that so many people tried to tell her. And she laughed at them and wrote that song and continued with her choice to keep drinking. Even tho' we have a lot of current scientific truths that predict an early death when you drink your life away.

Did you know that the top 3 deaths are caused from cigarettes, animal fats and alcohol?

So, we are warned. GOD has been trying to tell us for so long and we just try to ignore it. We want to do what we want to do! Off the top right now, I am thinking about all the young girls who want so much to have sex, but they don't want to be pregnant after the deed is done. Then they want to kill the life within them. You see this is why GOD tells us to warn our daughters NOT to have sex before marriage, because all those unwanted murdered babies make GOD very very very sad... if not downright angry about it.

What I am trying to get out here is this... GOD always has a perfect plan for our lives. HE wants us to have all the best with HOME and FAMILY and FRIENDS! But when we don't pay attention or don't want to hear it, it is our own self that suffers. 

If I could put it in a nutshell, I would say this, if you are catering to your flesh, you are most always guaranteed to screw up, but if you seek GOD for the wellbeing of your SPIRIT... you get the best info on how to keep your body in top form! And how to have a practically perfect life!

You could be like Amy and have to learn the hard way by losing your life. Or you could be like Jonah and have to go through hell before you barely scramble out of hell by the grace of GOD HIMSELF, who loves you THAT MUCH!

It's the same for all the generations... to all cultures and to all creeds! The link you need to reach GOD is Jesus! Jesus was the sacrifice for all our lost souls out there... Jesus brings on The Holy Ghost that LIVES in your heart and mind! That's what I LOVE about true Christians, We all value Home and Family and Happy days for always and forever! We are of one mind... of one accord... praising GOD for all HIS wisdom and knowledge to share with one another!

And You know? I really appreciate that!
